Historically, the ByWard Market originally started with the agri-food vendors. In fact, food vendors started setting up in the area as soon as workers started moving in to build the Rideau Canal.
Today, with local and regional produce available in season, fresh blooming flowers and plants, cut flowers, potted plants, decorative wreaths, garlands, swags and Christmas trees, maple and honeybees products, you are still sure to find everything you need and want.
